About the team

Our Business Advisory, Accounting & Tax team partners with ambitious business owners and entrepreneurs to provide
end-to-end financial and commercial support. From structuring and tax compliance to forecasting, strategic planning
and business improvement, we work closely with clients to help them grow, protect and realise the value in their
businesses. Our team combines technical excellence with a genuine commitment to building long-term relationships,
always bringing a proactive and solutions-focused mindset to every challenge.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for medium and large sized client groups across a variety of industries and entity types
  • Tax planning and structuring advice
  • Preparation of BAS and IAS
  • Preparation of FBT returns
  • Providing advice and assistance in relation to a range of taxation and matters
  • Regular contact regulatory bodies
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular verbal and written communication
  • Developing and mentoring junior staff, including review work and providing feedback

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within public practice
  • Be CAANZ or CPA qualified
  • Have a thorough knowledge of tax legislation
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Be capable of developing and maintaining strong relationships with both colleagues and clients with powerful verbal and written communication skills
  • Be interested in developing and mentoring junior staff members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Experience with MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks etc. as well as the Microsoft Office suite
  • Willingness to take ownership of client responsibilities
  • High attention to detail
